Our Spring Break in a Nutshell..wait, I was the only one Nuts

Spring Break went well this last week...for the most part. It was mainly uneventful which brought with it some guilt. The boys played pretty well together and made me glad to have two boys in a row - it's nice to have a built in playmate. Kaden wanted to write in his Spring Break Journal for school each day and there was not always much to report. He did get to have a two-night sleepover at G'ma's with cousin Amy to kick things off. They had a good time.

They did get to go swimming at an indoor pool with the Henry's and Haertling's- thanks for inviting us Staci. And although I have two of the biggest chicken's in all the water world...they just really love to go swimming with their waterdog friends. They LOVE it! They do most of their watching from the stairs while wearing every form of floatation device they can get on - meanwhile the other children their age do flips from the diving board and hold their breath underwater for 2 minutes. Kaden did get his head wet on his own...baby steps. How did I get these water chickens? Aren't Charee or Carrie destined for some of this - not me?!
Brandt, with his much needed goggles for no underwater viewing, did go off the slide a time or two and that finally encouraged his older brother to give it one try. This picture was stolen from Rachel - thanks!

We (me & the kids only - is Brad ever not working?) also went to Howard Amon park this weekend with Lisa & Vernon. I haven't been there in a while and they have some great play equipment that is see through (screen) instead of enclosed like the Playground of Dreams. Why is this so much better you ask? Well it makes for a LOT less movement and energy trying to keep track of where your kids are in the maze of toys and children. Put them in a brightly colored shirt and you are good to sit and relax. I do recommend it. The weather was SO NICE, and I only wish I could have laid out for some really tanning action with fewer lines. That may have been a little unfortunate for all others to see this white whale of a 35 weeks pregnant lady laying there - so for their sakes, I spared all and reserved my white legs for my gracious husband.

I have been tearing apart the house and all of our closets to make room for this baby. I may be a little obsessed with spring de-cluttering and organization, and this seems to be the answer for me. Things are getting closer to normalcy. And my closets are nice and organized which somehow cleans out the closets of my mind. Once a bedding set has been decided upon (thanks for your input) then I will post a picture of our makeshift baby's room /office.

Hi Wendy, I found your blog somehow, through someone's links. Anyways, your blog is great, and I hope you don't mind me commenting.

Hey...there is nothing wrong with kids who would rather watch others in the water than be there themselves. I had a ton more fun watching kids swim than me swimming. Besides, I made some awesome sand castles at Priest Lake. No, actually I'm praying that Lillie will take more after her father on this matter. I'll only say it once, but it's not so fun being a scaredy cat.
