Finally....an update

Thanks to my sister Carrie, I am back from the blogging deceased.
Here is a brief run down:
- Spring Soccer began again. Back to life of shuttling kids to practice twice a week. And games (in the cold) every Saturday. I thought this was supposed to be SPRING soccer. No thank you wind.
-We had a little MIRACLE yesterday. Kaden scored his first goal! There had been a few really close calls but it finally happened. We were elated. Kaden chose McDonald's as his Prize Winning Treat for such a feat. Later we found out that it was only so that he could get the "Littlest Pet Shop" toy which conveniently was a little kitty with a pacifier. He has had it with him ever since, regretably.

- The boys just finished a basketball clinic that was held every Saturday for a month or so. Starting from scratch was quite comical to watch but by the end, they both were occasionally (and probably accidentally) scoring a basket.

-Brandt was more concerned about winning the race when they were doing warm ups and drills. This often entailed crossing over into other people's "lanes" running right in front of them and giggling as he peered behind at them. So much for the actual skill development. But they liked it although it was a little lengthy.

- Kaden shows his skills. If you had seen him the first day, you would know that he truly did come a long way. Seems we need to step up the athletic training in our home.

-Mostly he liked to stand there shy and timid in an aggressive defensive stance - such as this below.

-Here is Kaden and Ashlee (my good friend Becky's little girl). Yep, she is a year younger and a foot taller. My poor son with Beus genes.

-Brad and Macey. Yes, that is Brad. Unfortunately, he has grown out his hair. This is pictured before he began making his trips to the Salons. Ya, he has graduated from me as his live-in barber to an expensive hair salon with complimentary drinks. All I can say is that it has finally grown on me. It actually looks good now that a professional has "shaped" and "styled" it. He'll love that I am sharing this with everyone. (Now, I am sure he will cut it once he finds out it no longer drives me crazy.) Whatever.

-Macey loves to walk around. She still demands most or all of our attention. She has started jabbering and sometimes will mimic the voice emodulations (that word brought back memories an old SNL clip -ha! Anyway...) of how we say "I love you." Basically a born genius - we're sure. I did discover that we need to take more pictures of her and she may be falling in to third child syndrome.

-I had a nasty sinus cold last week which has remained with me, thankfully. This brings about lots of nose blowing, a beautiful thing. Brad caught it days later. Needless to say, we did a lot of laying and moaning around here.

Here's to getting back in to blogging! We'll see....

Nice job with the post! Thanks for the update on the boys, glad to see that they're loving sports. Congrats, Kaden, on the goal! And Macey's a doll, I wish we lived closer so that she and Lil could get into all sorts of mischief together.

Wendy, so good to read a post. You have inspired me to actually update mine also. Your kids are darling, I am so happy for Kaden's first goal. Sorry I didn't watch your kids on Saturday. Hopefully the weather wasn't as bad as Hannah's game at 9:30. and hopefully our awful 50 mile an hour winds and torrential rainfall will be over and SPRING soccer is really here.

We've been waiting. I'm impressed that those boys can make baskets, they're probably better than me. Macey is so cute and looking about the same heighth as 3 months ago, funny.

Yay, you're back! I feel like we haven't communicated for a while, but after reading that you've been out with a bad cold maybe I'm glad that its been a week or so since I last saw you. :) Hope you're all feeling better! Loved the pictures of my cute nephews and niece! Oh, and Brad!

Hilarious Wendy! I have missed your blogs. You are doing much better at bringing out the athlete in your children. Last fall a neighbor kid's dad introduced our son to a new concept - playing catch with a football. It had never occurred to us. We don't even own one. And we haven't done it since. So keep up the good work. Maybe we should send Gunnar to your sports boot camp.

Hi Wendy. I too have been bad about keeping up the blog. Mine has somehow turned into monthly updates.

Your little girl is such a sweetie.

Hillarious beer pictures. Is it bad they are so funny? And the comment someone made about hoping you won't see the same pose in 10 years cracked me up.

Brad and his long hair remind me of Christopher Walken in the Sarah Plain and Tall Movies. :)

I'm with you on the computer stuff. Sometimes you have to spend hours on the computer... just to show it who is boss. I have no idea how to turn a video, or put audio back in. You rock!

Yeah, an update. Man they are decked out for basketball. Kaden's defense move is original, act like you really don't want to be there. Did the coaches come up with that new technigue or did he think it up on his own?
It is fun to hear what you guys are up to. Hope everyone feels better.
