Candid Brandt Comments

As I was driving late (as usual) to his dentist appointment, I was stuck behind a lady making a left turn at a flashing yellow arrow. Thinking out loud, I said "Go, go, go" And Brandt said "Mom, honk at her". Realizing I was genetically passing on my road rage, I explained that we really shouldn't honk at people. So he goes "Oh is she a grandma." Apparently, he may have heard me make a comment before about "grandma drivers".

After being highly medicated from the tooth pulling, Brandt was a little out of it. He'd be a funny drunk--let that be his only experience. He was flirting with the dental assistant and just plain silly. As he was slumped over in the car seat, he was mumbling something about wanting to drive the car. And I told him that I would be the one driving the car today. And he held up one finger and said with a slur "Just one time. Just one time."

During our Sunbeam lesson on loving our brothers and sisters, we were explaining the different things that we can do to help our babies. And Brandt chimed in several times "You pump. Mom, you pump."

I love when kids talk and say funny things! I look forward to Ethan talking. I wonder if he'll be funny. He seems to be so serious. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I love it. He is learning quickly and seems to be tucking the most important tidbits away for just the right occasion.
